Scope

This standard specifies the criteria, acceptable analysis methods and assumptions that should be followed in the expected transient analysis of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant that fails to shut down. This standard is applicable to the analysis of expected transient conditions in which a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant fails to shut down in an emergency.
