Scope

This standard specifies the procedures to be followed for taking samples from batches of machine-made carpets or specified products and for taking test specimens from these samples for physical testing. The samples taken may not necessarily fully represent the population, but the sampling method should be agreed upon by the parties involved. This standard applies to machine-made carpets with or without threaded ends.
