Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ammeters for automobiles and motorcycles. This standard applies to ammeters that indicate the charging and discharging current intensity of automobile and motorcycle batteries. Other motor vehicle ammeters can also be implemented with reference.
