Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and model representation methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, product identification and packaging of automotive gas heaters that are mainly used in passenger cars and are powered by natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas. This standard applies to automobile heaters that use natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas as fuel. Gas-fueled heaters used in other vehicles can also be implemented by reference.
