Analysis of key technical requirements
Buoyancy system design: The nominal buoyancy must be ≥ the nominal value. The measured case shows that the 650mm×1100mm rotomolded buoy must reach 320daN buoyancy. The breaking strength of the tying rope should comply with the GB/T 8834 standard, and the minimum breaking strength of the polyethylene rope must be ≥1.5 times the working load.
Implementation points
Foam buoy assembly: It must be wrapped with a geotextile bag with a mesh size of <1.5cm to prevent direct friction with the frame. A case of a Hainan farm shows that the wear rate of the unwrapped buoy reached 23% after 6 months of use.
Rotational buoy inspection: The airtightness test needs to be immersed in water for 0.5h, and the shell wall thickness measurement needs to be sampled at 5 different points. For example, the wall thickness deviation of the Φ600mm buoy should be controlled within ±10%.
Background of standard evolution
The 2018 version distinguishes between foam/roto-molding process requirements for the first time, and adds technical indicators for filled buoys. Compared with the 2005 version of the fishing gear standard, the buoyancy accuracy requirement is increased by 15%, reflecting the wind and wave resistance requirements of deep-water cages.
