Key technical points

1. Histopathological diagnosis

Typical features: Coagulative necrosis of striated muscle with hemocyte infiltration, hypertrophy of lymphoid organs (3-4 times). It is necessary to distinguish it from white tail disease caused by Lopenaeus vannamei Nodamura virus (PvNV).

2. Nested RT-PCR operation

  • Primer design:Use two pairs of specific primers (4587F/4914R→4725NF/4863NR)
  • Amplification product:328bp in the first step→139bp in the second step
  • Anti-pollution measures:DEPC water treatment consumables are required, and a blank control should be set
