Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the filtration performance of engine oil in the presence of water and dry ice. It simulates the tendency of a new engine to form deposits that can easily clog the filter when stored for a long time when water is present in the oil after a short period of operation. This standard uses International System of Units [SI] units. This standard covers certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but does not provide recommendations on all safety issues related to these. Therefore, it is necessary for users to establish appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the corresponding management system before using this standard.
