Scope

This standard stipulates the names and codes of rivers with a drainage area of more than 1,000 km across the country, as well as rivers where large and important medium-sized reservoirs, sluices and other projects are located. This standard applies to the management and application of river information compilation, storage, retrieval and other fields in the national water conservancy, flood control and drought relief departments.
