Scope

This standard specifies the isolation and morphology of parasite eggs (including Ascaris, Ancylostoma, Trichuris, Trichostrongylus eggs and Isopsopoa oocysts) in pickles and other plant-derived foods. Identification and fluorescence PCR identification of Ascaris eggs. This standard is applicable to the sample preparation, isolation, morphological identification using a microscope for the detection of parasite eggs in plant-source foods such as kimchi, chili sauce, barbecue sauce, etc., as well as the accurate PCR identification of the detected roundworm eggs.
