Scope

This standard specifies the molecular biology identification method of bird's nest. This standard is applicable to the qualitative detection of bird's nest components and the identification of bird's nest proteins and other biologically derived proteins. The PCR method is suitable for the qualitative detection of bird's nest components, and the two-dimensional electrophoresis method is suitable for the detection of bird's nest proteins and other biologically derived proteins. However, it is not suitable for the detection of samples such as carrageenan and agar that do not contain protein components or have very low protein content.
