Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of iodine content in edible algae using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This standard is applicable to the determination of iodine content in edible algae plants such as kelp, Ulva, seaweed, Nostoc, wakame, and seaweed.
