Scope

This standard specifies methods for the determination of total arsenic in medicinal plants by hydride atomic fluorescence photometry and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of total arsenic in medicinal plants such as safflower, Chuanxiong, angelica, American ginseng, forsythia, senna and other medicinal plants or similar medicinal plants. The lower limit of determination is 0.010 mg/kg.
