Analysis of Core Defect Types

3.4 Diagonal Cracks: Cracks in the tire carcass extending at a 45° angle. A tire with a depth exceeding 1.6mm is considered unqualified. Typical cases show that this defect most often occurs in the shoulder area.

3.5 Circumferential Fatigue Fracture (Zipper-like Fracture): Sudden cracking along the circumference of the tread, requiring compliance with a 150kPa pressure test requirement.


Test Method Specifications

Clause 4.2 stipulates: For tread wear rate testing, the projection measurement method specified in GB/T 7037 shall be preferred. When the remaining tread depth is ≤1.6mm, the wear is considered excessive.

Clause 4.5 requires: Impact fracture testing must be conducted at an ambient temperature of -10℃±2℃, and the drop weight height error must not exceed ±5mm.


Implementation Suggestions

  1. Establish a defect sample library: collect typical defect samples for comparison and reference
  2. Strengthen tire body inspection: focus on inspecting the junction between the tread crown and the sidewall
  3. Improve the recording system: retain video data of the inspection process for at least 3 years
