Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the diffusion coefficient of hydrocarbon gases in rocks. This standard is applicable to the determination of the diffusion coefficient of single-component gases such as methane, ethane, propane, butane and pentane and natural gas in rocks such as mudstone, shale, limestone and sandstone.
