Scope

This standard specifies the residual strength evaluation method for oil and gas transmission pipelines containing volumetric defects. This standard applies to oil and gas transmission pipelines in service whose original design standards are consistent with GB 50251 "Code for Design of Gas Pipeline Engineering" or GB 50253 "Code for Design of Oil Pipeline Engineering".
