Scope

1.0.1 This specification is formulated to standardize the design, construction, operation, management and maintenance of the cathodic protection system for the inner wall of steel water tanks. 1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the cathodic protection system of the inner wall and metal components of the water-immersed part of steel water tanks with a medium temperature not lower than 0°C. It is not applicable to water tanks whose storage medium is drinking water. 1.0.3 The design, construction, operation, management, and maintenance of the cathodic protection system for the inner wall of steel water tanks should not only comply with this specification, but also comply with the relevant current national mandatory standards and specifications.
