Scope
This standard applies to seamless, welded, clad and lined composite pipeline steel pipes with good corrosion resistance in pipeline transportation systems in the oil and gas industry. The clad and lined composite pipeline steel pipes involved in this standard are composed of an outer carbon steel matrix material and an inner corrosion resistant alloy (CRA). The matrix material shall meet the requirements of API Spec 5l-2007 PSL2 and its corresponding appendix, except when this standard is changed. The delivered product is generally a plain end steel pipe. After negotiation between the purchaser and the manufacturer, steel pipes with other special pipe end requirements can also be delivered. The product specifications are 25mm (1in) to 2134mm (84in). After negotiation, the specifications and material requirements of the composite steel pipe can exceed the provisions of API Spec 5L-2007, and its maximum size range can be relaxed to 2500mm (100in). The steel grades of the matrix material of this standard include X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70 and X80, as well as the intermediate steel grades of these steel grades. The materials of the corrosion-resistant alloy layer include LC 1812, LC2205, LC2506, LC2242, LC2262, UNSS317030, UNS N08904, Alloy59 (UNS N06059), Alloy 254 SMO, (UNS S31254), AL6NX (UNS N08367) and 1.4529 (UNS NO8926), as well as other steel grades determined by negotiation between the purchaser and the manufacturer.
