Scope
This standard specifies the design, manufacture, quality assessment and application of composite lined downhole oil pipes, and can also be extended to composite lined gathering and transportation pipelines. This standard is mainly applicable to composite lined steel pipes for the treatment and transportation of multiphase fluids, hydrocarbon gases, hydrocarbon liquids and water. Composite lined oil pipes are usually lined with fiber reinforced polymer lining inside the steel pipe to protect the steel pipe substrate from fluid corrosion. The joints can be API threads or special threads, and corrosion isolation rings are usually used to ensure corrosion resistance in the gaps between adjacent linings. This standard not only includes material selection, product quality assessment, safety and design factor definitions, but also includes quality control tests, hydrostatic pressure tests, dimensions, material properties, physical properties and minimum performance requirements. This standard is mainly applicable to composite lined steel pipes with a diameter of less than 250mm (10in), a working pressure of less than 69MPa (10000psi), and a service temperature of less than 150℃ (300°F). In addition, its design principles can also be applied to products beyond the above range.
