Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of axial flow turbochargers (hereinafter referred to as "superchargers") for diesel locomotive engines. This standard applies to superchargers for diesel engines of internal combustion locomotives. Superchargers for diesel engines of internal combustion vehicles may also be implemented with reference to this standard.
