本标准规定了高速工具钢热轧窄钢带的订货内容、尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志及质量证明书等。
本标准适用于制作机用锯条的热轧锯带、用于制作刀片、叶片等的平面直带，以及用于冷轧窄钢带的热轧卷带等。宽度28mm～66mm、厚度1.25mm～3.00mm、长度不大于850mm范围用的定尺或倍尺不切边热轧锯带和平面直带，宽度28mm～66mm、厚度1.6mm～2.3mm的热轧卷带。
