Introduction
Key Technical Requirements
The standard specifies the minimum nickel content limits for three grades of products. First-grade products must contain at least 35% nickel. Chloride ion content is also restricted, with the chlorine content of first-grade products not exceeding 0.1%. Regarding moisture control, first- and second-grade products must have a moisture content of 55% or less.
Inspection Implementation Key Points
Sampling is performed using the five-point diagonal method, with a minimum sample size of 4‰ per bag. For agglomerated materials, the standard allows for the use of a hand hammer to assist in sampling. Samples must be ground to a fineness of 0.150mm (100 mesh). Arbitration samples are stored for three months.
Standard Application Scenarios
Applicable to nickel ore processed by the acid leaching-alkaline precipitation process, as well as the enrichment products of nickel-containing liquids from hydrometallurgy. Typical applications include:
- Raw materials for nickel sulfate production
- Preparation of electrolytic nickel precursors
- Raw materials for nickel oxide processing
Implementation Recommendations
1. Special indicators such as chloride ion content should be clearly agreed upon during procurement.
2. Moisture-proof measures must be taken during transportation, and ton bags are recommended for packaging.
3. It is recommended to establish a batch traceability system to record the sampling points for each batch of products.
