本部分规定了银精矿中铜量的测定方法。
本部分适用于银精矿中铜量的测定。方法1测定范围:0.050%~2.00% ;方法2测定范围:>2.00%~15.00%。
Introduction
Standard Overview
YS/T 445.2-2019 replaces the 2001 version of the standard and specifies two methods for determining the copper content in silver concentrate: flame atomic absorption spectrometer is suitable for low content (0.05%-2.00%), and iodine titration is suitable for high content (>2.00%-15.00%).
Major Technical Changes
| Changes | 2001 Edition | 2019 Edition |
|---|---|---|
| Digestion Method | No hydrofluoric acid used | Added hydrofluoric acid + perchloric acid |
| Assay Medium | 5% Nitric Acid | 10% Hydrochloric Acid |
| Assay Range | ≤13.00% | Extended to 15.00% |
Method 1: Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
Key Parameters
- Characteristic concentration: ≤0.034μg/mL
- Linearity requirement: absorbance ratio of high/low section of working curve ≥0.80
- Digestion system: Four-step digestion of hydrochloric acid-nitric acid-hydrofluoric acid-perchloric acid
Precision requirement
| Copper content (%) | Repeatability limit (r) | Reproducibility limit (R) |
|---|---|---|
| 0.05 | 0.006 | 0.008 |
| 2.00 | 0.12 | 0.15 |
Method 2: Iodometric method
Key technical points
- Interference elimination: Ammonium bifluoride masks iron, potassium thiocyanate eliminates lead/bismuth interference
- End point determination: The blue color of starch indicator just disappears
- Calibration requirements: The range of sodium thiosulfate solution ≤0.00002mol/L
Actual case
For a sample containing 10.01% copper, the difference in repeated determination results was 0.17%, which was lower than the repeatability limit of 0.18% specified in the standard.
Implementation suggestions
- For high-silicon samples, increase the amount of hydrofluoric acid and extend the digestion time
- Control the pH in the critical range of 3.0-4.0 during iodine titration
- Regularly verify the characteristic concentration index of the atomic absorption spectrometer
