Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and order (or contract) for graphitized cathode carbon blocks for aluminum electrolysis. This standard applies to graphitized cathode carbon blocks (hereinafter referred to as carbon blocks) for masonry aluminum electrolysis cells that do not undergo impregnation and secondary roasting processes during the production process.
