Scope

This standard specifies symbols used to provide important information to users and other persons for the safe and effective use of medical devices. This standard will mainly be used by the following persons:
　——Labeling their products on several pairs of medical devices in different languages Medical device manufacturers listed in the required countries. - Users of medical devices obtained from different sources and with different language abilities. — Personnel responsible for post-market surveillance. ——Health authorities, testing organizations, certification bodies and other organizations responsible for the implementation of medical device regulations and post-market supervision. This standard may also be helpful to:
　——Manufacturers who must deal with small label space limitations. —Representatives of medical device distributors or other manufacturers. ——The health authority responsible for training and the trainees. Note: This standard covers a limited number of symbols that may be used, where appropriate, on the device itself, its packaging or accompanying documentation. Many other standards, such as GB 9706.1, specify many additional devices that are applicable to specific types or combinations of devices. Or a symbol for a specific occasion.
