Scope

This standard specifies the performance requirements and associated conformity tests for non-invasive measuring instruments for X-ray tube voltages up to 150 kV. It also describes calibration methods and provides guidance for estimating uncertainty under measurement conditions different from those used during calibration. Applications for these measurements in diagnostic radiology include breast imaging, computed tomography (CT), dental radiology, and X-ray examinations. This standard does not address the safety of these instruments; applicable electrical safety requirements are given in GB 4793.1-2007.
