1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated in order to implement the national safe operation guidelines, policies, laws and regulations, safeguard the safety and occupational health of the investigation personnel during the production, protect the property of the State and the investigation organization from losses, and promote the smooth progress of the construction engineering investigation.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the safe operation management of geotechnical investigation for civil works, construction works and pipeline works.
1.0.3 The investigation organization shall strengthen the safe operation management, adhere to the principle of safety first, prevention oriented and comprehensive management, and establish and improve the safe operation responsibility system of investigation.
1.0.4 The safe operation management of geotechnical investigation shall not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code but also comply with those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Dangerous goods
Products that may endanger the personal and property safety, such as flammable and explosive substances, hazardous chemicals and radioactive substances.
2.1.2 Hazard source
The source or state that may cause other losses such as injury, disease, property loss and environmental damage.
2.1.3 Safe operation regulation
General provisions of the specific technical requirements and implementation procedures formulated to eliminate hazard sources which may cause operating personnel casualty, occupational hazard, equipment damage, property loss and environmental damage during the operation activities.
2.1.4 Safety protection facilities
Facilities used to prevent unsafe factors or occupational harmful factors on a jobsite to avoid safe operation accidents an occupational diseases.
2.1.5 Security measures for safe work
A series of requirements, including protective articles, protective devices and human behaviors, against casualty, equipment damage, occupational hazard and environmental damage that may occur in operation activities.
2.1.6 Safety signs
Signs composed of graphical symbols, colors, geometrical shapes (borders) or words to express certain safety information.
2.1.7 Jobsite in plateau region
The geotechnical investigation jobsite having an elevation of above 2000m.
2.1.8 Jobsite in alpine-cold region
The geotechnical investigation jobsite having an daily average temperature below -10℃.
2.1.9 Engineering geophysical exploration
The exploration method to solve geotechnical problems by analyzing and researching the exploration data obtained using geophysical exploration technology and inferring and explaining the geotechnical conditions on jobsite.
2.1.10 Ground connection
Connection of conductive parts of electrical devices and facilities in the electrical system or building that may endanger personal safety to the grounding electrode via a grounding wire.
2.1.11 Working ground connection
Ground connection necessary to be arranged in the electrical devices of the electrical system for safe operation.
2.1.12 Iterative ground connection
Ground connection where the grounding wire of an equipment is connected to ground via grounding devices in one or more points.
2.1.13 Grounding device
The assembly of earth wire and earth electrode.
2.2 Symbols
2.2.1 Electrical parameters
N - neutral point, neutral line, null line;
PE - protective earthing.
2.2.2 Ground connection protection
TN - the direct grounding point of the power supply terminal, to which the exposed conductive part of the electrical device is connected via a protective neutral conductor or protective conductor;
TN-S - the TN system ground connection type with the neutral conductor separated from the protective conductor in the entire system.
