Scope

Classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) for thermal insulation. Applicable to extruded polystyrene foam for thermal insulation with a service temperature not exceeding 75°C, including types with added infrared blocking agents such as graphite, as well as materials with and without skins, and the application of prefabricated components and composite insulation systems.
