Scope

This standard specifies the classification, specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) for thermal insulation. This standard applies to extruded polystyrene foam plastics for thermal insulation with a service temperature not exceeding 75 °C, and also to extruded polystyrene foam plastics for thermal insulation with plastics, foil veneers and surface coatings.
