Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the cloud point index of nonionic surfactants—volumetric method. This standard applies to low alkoxylated non-ionic surfactants (1 to 5 ethylene oxide groups), whose hydrophobic groups are provided by alcohols/alkylphenols or fatty acids (their melting point is lower than 30°C) ). This standard also applies to lipophilic substrates derived from alcohols, alkylphenols or fatty acids.
