Introduction

Interpretation of GB/T 12960—2019 Standard for Quantitative Determination of Cement Components

Component type Main changes Scope of application Determination method
Pozzolanic mixed materials New sulfide determination method, optimized selective dissolution conditions Applicable to cement containing pozzolanic mixed materials Method 1: Selective dissolution method; Method 2: Sulfide determination method
Fly ash Modified the selective dissolution conditions of nitric acid solution Applicable to cement containing fly ash Method 1: EDTA solution selective dissolution method
Granulated blast furnace slag Add sulfide determination method and optimize the insoluble slag treatment steps Applicable to cement containing granulated blast furnace slag Method 1: selective dissolution method; Method 2: sulfide determination method

Implementation Suggestions

1. Laboratory conditions: Ensure that the laboratory temperature is controlled at $16^\circ C \sim 30^\circ C$, and be equipped with high-temperature furnace, acidity meter and other instruments and equipment.

2. Sample preparation:According to the GB/T12573 method, the sample is collected by quartering or reducing device to prepare a uniform sample. The residue is ground and passed through a $150~\mu\mathrm{m}$ square hole sieve.

3. Method selection:According to the cement type and component content, the appropriate method 1 or method 2 is selected, and method 1 shall prevail (in case of dispute).
