Scope
This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of lead-acid batteries for railway passenger cars. This standard applies to lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) used for the direct current power supply of railway passenger car lighting and other electrical appliances.
