Standard formulation background and technology evolution analysis

GB/T13747 "Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Chemical Analysis Method" series of standards is an important specification for zirconium and zirconium alloy material testing, which is divided into 27 parts. Part 8 of this interpretation is mainly for the determination of cobalt content, using nitrite R salt spectrophotometry.

Compared with GB/T13747.8-1992, the new version of the standard has been improved mainly in the following aspects:

The following are the detailed analysis steps of GB/T13747.8-2017 standard:

  1. Sample processing
  2. Cut the zirconium alloy sample into fragments with a length not exceeding 5 mm, clean them with carbon tetrachloride and dry them.

  3. Weighing of sample

  6. Place the sample in a 150mL polyethylene cup, add 5mL water, 2mL hydrofluoric acid and 1mL nitric acid to dissolve the sample.
