1 Scope
This standard specifies specimen preparation, shear test, tensile test and test report of mechanical properties of ring of filament-winding reinforced plastics.
This standard is applicable to fabrication of ring of filament-winding reinforced plastics and determination of interlaminar shear strength, tensile strength and tensile modulus of elasticity for ring of filament-winding reinforced plastics, and tensile strength of filament.

3 Method Summary
3.1 Specimen preparation method
3.1.1 General
Specimens are fabricated by single ring winding method or cylinder slit-ring method. In both methods, either wet winding or presoaking winding method applies. See Figures 1 and 2 for the two types of winding process respectively. For performance comparison, the same fabrication method shall be adopted.
