Scope
This standard specifies the type classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, winding and packaging of nickel and nickel alloy welding wires (including welding wires whose nickel content exceeds that of any other element). This standard is applicable to nickel and nickel alloy welding wires (hereinafter referred to as welding wires) for gas shielded arc welding, argon tungsten arc welding, plasma arc welding and submerged arc welding.
