Scope

This standard specifies the unified technical requirements and test methods for the mechanical properties of optical fibers. This standard is applicable to the mechanical strength test, operational performance test, physical defects, strippability, stress corrosion sensitivity parameters and optical fiber warpage detection of glass optical fibers with pre-coating layer or buffer layer.
