This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 16939-1997 High strength bolts for joints of space grid structures, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 16939-1997:

——Thread standards cited have been unified as GB/T 193 and GB/T 9145 (see Clause 2);

——Bolt specifications for M22, M33 and M52 have been deleted;

——Bolt specifications for M68×4, M72×4, M76×4, M80×4 and M85×4 have been added;

——35VB steel and Annex B have been deleted;

——42CrMo steel has been added.

This standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.

This Standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Fasteners of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 85).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the types, dimensions, technical conditions, designation, mechanical properties, test method, acceptance rules, marking and packaging of high strength bolts for joints of space grid structures.

This standard is applicable to high strength bolts for joints of space grid structures with the thread specification of M12~M85×4.
