《GB/T 17420-2020微量元素叶面肥料》由TC105(全国肥料和土壤调理剂标准化技术委员会)归口,TC105SC5(全国肥料和土壤调理剂标准化技术委员会新型肥料分会)执行,主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
GB/T 17420-2020, as the third edition of the national standard for trace element foliar fertilizers, reflects the three major advances in my country's foliar fertilizer technology in the past 20 years:
| Technical Dimensions | 1998 Edition | 2020 Edition | Significance of Progress |
|---|---|---|---|
| Detection Method | Traditional Chemical Analysis Method | Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy + Plasma Emission Spectroscopy | Accuracy Improved 10 Times |
| Safety Indicators | Unspecified Limits | Citing GB 38400 standard | Stricter control of heavy metals |
| Packaging specifications | Single specification | Multiple specifications ±1% error | Adapt to the needs of modern agriculture |
Analysis of key technical indicators
The standard stipulates that trace element foliar fertilizer must contain at least two elements of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), molybdenum (Mo) and boron (B), and:
- Total trace element content of solid products ≥10.0%
- Liquid products ≥100g/L
- Single element content <0.2% is not included in the total
Application case: Correction of nutrient deficiency in citrus
Using the zinc-boron compound foliar fertilizer that complies with GB/T 17420, after spraying it three times during the flowering period, the fruit setting rate of Wenzhou mandarin oranges increased by 27% and the horizontal diameter of the fruit increased by 1.2cm.
Key points for upgrading the detection method
The new version of the standard specifies in Chapter 5.4:
- Atomic absorption spectrophotometry (arbitration method) is used for copper/iron/manganese/zinc
- Plasma emission spectrometry is used for boron/molybdenum
- Newly added sample solution oscillation preparation specification: (180±20)r/min oscillation for 30min
Implementation suggestions and precautions
| Links | Operation specifications | Common misunderstandings |
|---|---|---|
| Purchasing | Check whether the value marked on the packaging meets Article 3.2 | Ignore the requirement of ≥0.2% of a single element |
| Storage | Liquid products should avoid stratification (Article 3.1) | Failure to check sedimentation regularly |
| Use | Dilute 250 times according to Article 7.3 | Randomly increasing the concentration will lead to fertilizer damage |
Special note: The 2020 version of the new GB 38400 Limits of Toxic and Hazardous Substances requires that the cadmium (Cd) content must be ≤10mg/kg.
