Scope

This International Standard specifies procedures for the evaluation of pressure drop flow characteristics of hydraulic filters for industrial use and provides the basis for agreement between filter manufacturers and users. Two measurement standards are specified: a) Class A: For accurate assessment for benchmarking purposes, laboratory conditions are required. b) Class B: For general-purpose assessments that require test facilities that are less stringent than laboratory conditions. This standard specifies the method for measuring the pressure drop across hydraulic filters under various flow conditions. This standard applies to all types of hydraulic filters that use hydraulic fluid as the working medium.
