GB/T18992.1-2003规定了定义、符号、缩略语、使用级别、材料和卫生性能要求。本部分适用于建筑物内冷热水管道系统，不适用于灭火系统和非水介质的流体输送系统。
Scope
This part of GB/T 18992--2003 specifies the definition, symbols, abbreviations, grades of service conditions, materials and hygienic performance requirements of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X) piping systems for hot and cold water. This section, together with other sections, applies to cold and hot water piping systems in buildings, including industrial and civil hot and cold water, drinking water and heating systems, etc. GB/T 18992--2003 does not apply to fire extinguishing systems and fluid delivery systems for non-aqueous media.
