Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage of speed-up gearboxes for wind turbines (hereinafter referred to as gearboxes). This standard applies to gearboxes using parallel shaft or planetary gear transmission in horizontal axis wind turbines (the swept area of the wind rotor is greater than or equal to 40 m2).
