本标准依据GB/T192-2003和GB/T193-2003规定了普通螺纹的基本尺寸，适用于一般用途的机械紧固螺纹联接，其螺纹本身不具有密封功能。

This standard specifies the requirements of the basic dimensions for the general purpose metric screw threads according to GB/T 192-2003 and GB/T 193-2003.
This standard is applicable to the connection of general-purpose mechanical binding threads whose screw thread does not have stopping property.
