Scope

This standard specifies the type, structural composition and specifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of strain-controlled unconfined compressometers. This standard applies to the strain-controlled unconfined compressibility tester for indoor determination of the unconfined compressive strength and sensitivity of saturated cohesive soil.
