本标准为首次发布。本标准规定了金属和非金属多晶体材料的平均晶粒度、截距和晶粒面积分布的基本测量方法。
本标准适用于等轴型和伸长型晶粒结构的单一相和双相系试样。
本标准同样适用于其他类似晶型结构的物质,如蜂窝结构的物质。
本标准需要使用半自动或全自动图像分析仪器。
本标准仅作为推荐性试验方法,它不能确定受检验材料是否接受或适合适用的范围。

Scope

This International Standard specifies basic methods for the measurement of average grain size, intercept, and grain area distribution of metallic and nonmetallic polycrystalline materials. This standard applies to single-phase and dual-phase samples with equiaxed and elongated grain structures. This standard is also applicable to other similar crystal structure substances, such as honeycomb structure substances. This standard requires the use of semi-automatic or fully automatic image analysis equipment. This standard is only a recommended test method, it cannot determine whether the tested material is acceptable or suitable for the applicable scope. This standard does not consider all safety issues associated with testing. The tester shall be responsible for the measures related to safety and health.
