Scope
This standard specifies the pipe ring expansion test method that uses a conical top core to expand the metal pipe ring sample until it breaks, so as to reveal the defects on the surface of the metal pipe ring sample and inside the pipe ring wall. This standard can also be used to assess the ability of metal pipes to withstand plastic deformation. This standard applies to metal pipes with an outer diameter of 18mm-150mm (including 150mm) and a wall thickness of 2mm-16mm (including 16mm).
