Scope

This standard specifies terms and definitions, basic design, auxiliary equipment, inspections, tests for dry-screw and oil-injected screw rotary compressors used in petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industrial facilities for pumping vacuum or increasing pressure or both And shipment preparation and seller's information and other requirements. It is a process compressor used for special purposes. This standard does not apply to general air compressors, liquid ring compressors and vane compressors.
