Scope
This standard specifies the general rules for full-scale structural tests of wind turbine blades, blade data, design and test loads, test load factors, load distribution, failure modes, test procedures and methods, and other tests and component tests of blades and blade characteristics. This standard is applicable to the full-structure test of the horizontal axis wind rotor blades with a swept area greater than or equal to 200m2. Most of the principles in this standard are applicable to rotor blades of any construction, size and material.
