Scope
This standard specifies the digital TV broadcasting service information (SI) data, which is an integral part of the digital TV broadcasting code stream, and helps users select service and/or event information from the code stream, so that the integrated receiver decoder (IRD) can Automatically set the available services. The data of the service information automatic setting part is mainly given by the program specific information (PSI) in GB/T 17975.1-2000. This standard specifies additional data supplementing the PSI to aid automatic tuning of the IRD and specifies additional information to be displayed to the user. The way to display this information is not specified in this standard, and the IRD manufacturer is free to choose the way to display it. Electronic Program Guide (EPG) will be an application for digital television transmission. The data contained in the service information specified in this standard can be used as the basis of the electronic program guide. This standard applies to terrestrial, cable, satellite and other digital TV broadcasting services.
