Scope

This standard specifies the high-voltage switchgear and control equipment and their complete sets of equipment and special equipment for digital communication with other parts of the substation and their test requirements. The digital communication device can replace metal parallel wires and can be integrated into high-voltage switchgear and control equipment and its complete equipment, and can also be used as an external device to make existing switchgear, control equipment and their complete equipment compatible with IEC 61850. This standard applies to the product standards of the IEC 61850 series.
