Introduction

Core changes and scope of application of the standard

GB/T 28819-2023 replaces the 2012 version of the standard. The main technical upgrades include: adding friction stir welding (FSW) process requirements, improving the heat treatment specifications for cast aluminum alloys, and refining the value rules for welded joint coefficients. It is applicable to SF₆/N₂ mixed gas insulated high-voltage switchgear enclosures with a design pressure of >0.3MPa.

Typical application case: When Al-Mg alloy 5052 (deformed aluminum) and ZL114A (cast aluminum) are used in combination, an additional 31% safety factor must be added to the deformed parts according to clause 6.2.3.3 of the standard.

Key points of welding process control

The standard adds FSW process requirements, and the key parameters include:

  • Rotation speed: 800-1200rpm
  • Travel speed: 50-300mm/min
  • Shoulder pressure: 5-15kN

Defect repair specifications:The same position shall not be repaired more than 2 times, and the repaired area shall be subject to 100% RT+PT inspection.


Quality Inspection System

Typical Inspection Process: Casting shell needs to undergo X-ray inspection (GB/T11346 Level 3 acceptance) → hydraulic test (2 times the design pressure for 5 minutes) → halogen leak detection (GB/T11022).

Non-destructive testing ratio requirements:

  • Class A/B joints: wall thickness ≥25mm requires 100% RT/UT
  • Fillet welds: 100% PT inspection
  • Local inspection: ≥20% weld length and ≥250mm
