Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for stainless steel surface oxidation and coloring. This standard is applicable to the oxidation and coloring of stainless steel plates, profiles and workpieces by chemical or electrochemical methods. This standard does not apply to stainless steel colored by other methods, such as ion deposition method, vapor deposition method, organic coating, etc.
